The notes are 156 x 69 mm in size and are equipped with a Holographic windowed security thread with demetalized BCV as part of its security features. An image of Simon Bolivar and electrotype BCV is also made visible under a UV light. The obverse side of each note features political leaders and noble statesman in Venezuelan history. The reverse side features the coat of arms of Venezuela and animals in their habitat.
